Join WOW
Membership of WOW is open to women (including trans women) aged 18 and over who are based in or around Wellington, Somerset.
We are not yet open for formal membership, we are putting the final pieces in place behind the scenes. We want to make sure everything is properly ready before we open membership, so that joining WOW is a smooth and straightforward experience from day one.
We expect to open membership very soon.

What to Expect When Membership Opens
Annual Membership Fee
WOW charges an annual membership fee, due each May. The fee for 2025/26 will be £36. Pro-rata membership may be available if you join mid-year.
What Membership Includes
- Access to all WOW meetings and main events
- Access to member-led subgroups
- Members’ communications and updates
- Priority access to event tickets and news
- Members area — coming soon
Some events, outings or workshops may have an additional charge to cover specific costs. This will always be communicated in advance.
Membership May Be Capped
WOW membership may be limited in number to ensure the group remains a genuinely connected community. If membership reaches capacity, a waiting list will operate. Joining our mailing list now means you’ll be first to hear when membership opens, and first in line.
Try Before You Join
Not sure if WOW is for you? You are welcome to attend up to two WOW events as a guest before committing to membership.
A visitor fee of £5 per visit applies. This is non-refundable but will give you a real feel for the group before you join.
Membership Rules
By joining WOW, members agree to:
- treat fellow members with respect and kindness
- help maintain a welcoming and supportive environment
- abide by WOW’s constitution and values
The organising team reserves the right to refuse or end membership where behaviour is seriously disruptive, harmful to other members, or not in keeping with WOW’s values.

In the meantime, you are very welcome to come along to our launch party on 21st May and find out more in person. No commitment needed, just come and see if WOW is for you.
Launch party tickets are free but must be booked in advance. Ticket links will be sent to mailing list and Facebook followers first.
