About WOW
Monumental Women of Wellington
WOW is an independent, volunteer-run women’s community group based in Wellington, Somerset. We launched in May 2025 with a simple aim: to bring women together for friendship, shared interests and community connection.
Membership is open to women (including trans women) aged 18 and over.
We are inclusive, welcoming and proudly not-for-profit. Everything we do is organised by volunteers who believe Wellington women deserve a space that’s genuinely theirs.
What We Do
WOW organises a programme of events throughout the year including speaker evenings, social gatherings, creative sessions and seasonal celebrations. We also support a growing range of informal, member-led subgroups that meet regularly throughout the year.

Empowering — We believe all women are stronger together. WOW is a place to connect, grow and support one another.
How We’re Run
WOW is governed by a volunteer organising team and operates under a formal constitution. We hold appropriate insurance and are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO registration number: TBC).
